After working in a variety of technical roles for several large corporations, I decided to set up a company on my own so I could have a say in my future and ensure that I was always able to provide for my family.
I had worked in a technical capacity at a few industry IT Events and as the need grew, I decided to set up F1 Consultancy Ltd. From our humble beginnings back in my bedroom in 1993, we now have a strong team of professionals both in the UK and USA with numerous large blue chip companies on our client list. We deliver hundreds of international events each year and have experience in working in over 70 countries worldwide. My goal was to create something I was proud of and that I can look back at and admire, F1 Consultancy has achieved this for me and so much more.
When I have time I like to watch and play most sports, although since moving to Seattle I don’t understand most of them that I now watch on TV! Living in Seattle is great. We now enjoy the outdoor life so much more than we ever did in England. I still love England but am certainly enjoying life in Seattle.
I am blessed with a beautiful wife and four gorgeous children.
I joined F1 Consultancy in 2000 as a Technical Consultant and since that time have been involved in numerous technical events all over the world. Becoming more involved in Project Management I have been the Project Manager for F1 at Microsoft’s European Teched since 2008, delivering the IT Infrastructure in Barcelona, Amsterdam, Berlin and Madrid. Amongst other events I am also Project Manager for F1 Consultancy’s role at BBC Worldwide’s annual Showcase event, where F1 deploys client PCs, Networking and Server Infrastructure.
When not at work, you will probably find me gardening, nothing gives me more pleasure than watching the fruits of my labour blossom and grow, nothing quite like getting your hands into the soil!
I began my professional career in 1990 as a Motion Picture Studio Mechanic in the local IATSE 488 Studio Mechanics union in Seattle working on major motion pictures in the Pacific Northwest. In 1993, I accepted a position with a major corporate audio video company and soon became the expert to call for their premier corporate clients. In 2000, I was recruited by Microsoft TSG to head up their Event Executive Technical Support Team. This team managed the technology surrounding these high profile presentations for senior Microsoft executives. In 2004, I took on a new position as Sr. Technical Director for all Microsoft programs at The Production Network here in Seattle. I provided overall technical direction for Microsoft’s high profile events, as well as providing technical expertise and experience to all Microsoft event planners ensuring their programs met Microsoft’s high technical standard.
I became Senior Vice President for F1 Consultancy in October 2008 after helping to successfully establish F1 consultancy in the Seattle IT Market place. I am kept very busy with Business Development, Successfully establishing F1 consultancy in the Seattle IT Market place. I Manage the F1/MS CMG Executive Productions program. I am also involved with Sales and Project management.
After spending the first 10 working years of my life as a Mechanic, I decided that I didn’t want greasy hands anymore and went back to school for Network Administration/Project Management. While attending school in 2001, I was given the opportunity to intern for Microsoft’s Technical Support Group, working on all of the large Microsoft Summer events. I was hired full time shortly after and I slowly worked my way up the ladder, starting out as an entry level tech to a Senior Event Technical Manager. I joined F1 Consultancy in 2011 and I couldnít be happier. I am now the Director of Project Management and I have the pleasure of managing some of the hardest working dedicated project managers in the business. I continue to enjoy managing events and traveling around the world helping out where I’m needed.
If I’m not working you can usually find me working on my bodybuilding poses, hanging out with my family at home or somewhere tropical, if I’m lucky.
After spending four years in the navy as an engineering officer and travelling all over Asia, Europe and America, I finally decided to ground my sea legs and joined F1 Consultancy in 1999 as a trainee consultant. Since then I have gained experience working for Microsoft, HP, Dell, BBC and Juniper Networks, working on smaller high profile executive events to large scale exhibitions and conferences.
In 2006, I became Technical Director, project managing and implementing technical requirements and ensuring clients expectations are met. I have worked at F1 for 14 years, starting as a warehouse assistant / trainee consultant, working my way up through the company, becoming the Technical Director in 2006. During my time at F1, I have traveled extensively to many parts of the world, which is something I thoroughly enjoy.
I started my working career at Boeing where I was a mechanic on the 737 wing line. After about 2 years of drilling and riveting wings I was laid off and realized it was a blessing, as I wanted much more out of a job and was looking for something to use my technical knowledge and skills. I was lucky enough to start working as an entry level Technical Consultant and have grown over the past 18 years into my current role as General Manager. I had the opportunity to hold many different positions that gave me great oversight into how our business is run. I thoroughly enjoy what I do everyday. I get to follow and explore new technologies, looking for innovative solutions that allow F1 Consultancy to offer our clients the most current and reliable results.
I have had the opportunity to travel all over the world in this career and see firsthand how our team delivers the highest level of technical support to events. I am very proud of who we are and excited for the future and how we can make an impact.
About me: I have a beautiful family that consists of my wife, my 17 year old son and my 1 year old baby! So I keep quite busy outside of work exploring the Pacific Northwest with my family. I have started biking and snowboarding again which has been very fun and fulfilling in my downtime, although it comes with some bumps and bruises.
Before joining F1 Consultancy in late 2018, I worked for 20 years for a diverse range of organizations, including government, equity backed firms and small business startups. My career path in each of those organizations always lead to positions leading implementations of system and process enhancements, which I adore. For the last ten years I have lead acquisition teams integrating small companies and acting as a liaison for change management.
I couldn’t be more thrilled to join the team at F1 Consultancy, as it has found the secret to retaining a knowledgeable, passionate and committed employee base. Customer service and employee satisfaction are valued, as well as a quality product. I hope to rise to their high standard and contribute to their future success while leading a great accounting team as the Finance Director.
When I am not brainstorming on creating efficiencies, I spend time gardening, canning, and bringing joy to my grandchildren. Now that my own children are on their own, my plans include overseas travel, camping, and attending musical events.
Weeks after finishing my degree in Mathematics at the University of Washington in 2006, I began my career supporting events. From beginning as a support technician I moved to a Project Management role in 2008. After joining F1 Consultancy in 2011, I am continuing in my role as a Technical Project Manager supporting and planning events and projects from the ground up in all technical aspects. Everything from basic setup and support to managing the overall team of support at a 15,000 attendee conference.
One aspect of working at F1 that has been very rewarding is all the different locations I have worked at. Besides all across the US, I have worked on projects in Indonesia, China, The Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Taiwan, Japan, Canada and many more.
At home, I enjoy pretty much any sport to play or to watch. I live in Seattle with my wife Julie. We are the biggest Husky Football fans and we have a new baby boy who is also now a Husky fan.
My experience in the IT industry started at a US based telecommunications company. I then moved on to become trained on the IBM PC, shortly followed by Compaq. I changed from an engineering role to sales in the 1990’s, which is where I remain to this day. In a 20-year sales career I have proved highly successful at identifying and nurturing business relationships from their infancy through to major account status. Typically these were foreign owned corporate customers, including Microsoft, Juniper Networks, Cisco Systems, Covance and Walt Disney.
I joined F1 Consultancy in 2003 and I must say, I enjoying working here as much today as I ever have, if not more! I have maintained a real appreciation for how IT can stimulate and drive innovation, making people’s lives easier, more fun or interesting. I equally get a real kick out of working with a very talented, hugely diverse group of individulas all of whom equally contribute to the overall success and unique culture we enjoy at F1.
Having set up home in deepest Somerset, my spare time generally revolves around relaxing at home or taking time to catch up with friends and family. I also enjoy watching sports live, playing the odd (very odd) round of golf, going to the cinema or “binging” on a good box-set!
In 2006 I began working as an Inventory Assistant and have most recently been promoted to Inventory Manager. Some of my current responsibilities are to oversee the day to day processes of pulling, packing and shipping equipment to various trade shows all over the world. I take great pride in what I do to ensure accuracy. Currently, I maintain a tracking system of more than 20,000 assets.
When not working, I enjoy traveling, playing softball and spending time with my beautiful wife.
I joined F1 in September 2006 as a developer of registration websites for events. Over the years my job has changed to more onsite IT consultancy, specializing in network infrastructure and this year I gained my CCNA qualification. When onsite you will normally find me as a member of the networking team. I still utilize my developing skills by maintaining and updating our internal Job and Stock system (F1Admin).
I’m never happy with just sitting back with the skill set that I have and will always want to learn either more on a specific subject or learn new skills that will aid not just myself but F1 as a whole.
Having spent the last 30 years in Distribution & Logistics Management, working in both the mobile phone and IT industry, I delighted in becoming part of the F1 team 10 years ago. After working in large corporate companies it was refreshing to be part of a team of enthusiastic, skilled and personable individuals who worked towards the same ethos of building on great communication, customer service and ability to ‘go the extra mile’ in order to retain and build a great and exciting customer base and subsequently a great and exciting company.
Things which make me happy are my family, my wife Caroline and two beautiful daughters, Isabella and Emilia, who certainly keep my feet on the ground and whose great sense of humour ensure I keep a smile on my face throughout the day!! Working hard to support my family. Having recently joined the gym, I am working hard towards the ‘total fitness’ goal, slowly but surely in the future you may see the return of The Italian Stallion, I enjoy walking my dog, a pretty crazy springer spaniel; following football, especially Crystal Palace and chilling with my family and friends. I am looking to take up clay pigeon shooting again after a number of years off the game.
Though I live in Seattle now, I have lived all over the US from one corner to the other. My dad was in the military and we (my mom and two sisters) moved every couple of years. I was able to see the US before even starting the travel that is involved with the events business. I graduated from Central Washington University in 2001 with a Bachelors degree in Information Technology and Administrative Management.
After graduation I started working in the event technical support business. I started as a tech and quickly worked my way up to a Project manager. Today I have a much more involved role with the backend of the business that I truly enjoy. While the events business take a very special passion there are no other people in the world I would rather work with.
Prior to coming to F1 I worked in sales over the course of 5 years. What started with selling and writing on-air spots for a sports radio station in San Francisco eventually led me back to my hometown of Seattle. Once back home I spent 3 years managing SMB’s delivering business intelligence and tools to help my clients succeed in the government market through bids and RFPs.
In 2010 I made the decision to take a risk and switch career paths which landed me in an unexpected place, IT. I started as a Technical Specialist and soon realized this was the place for me and have now worked my way up to become a Technical Project Manager. I thoroughly enjoy coming to work each day knowing F1 is great group of hardworking and entertaining people, it is definitely a unique culture you won’t find anywhere else.
Sports are my true passion, whether it be playing them or watching them. I played baseball in college while earning my B.A. in Kinesiology from St. Mary’s College of CA which is also where I met my beautiful wife Chelsea. I try to live life to the fullest and not take it too seriously and if all else fails I have my two crazy Basset Hounds, Hammerin’ Hank and Charlie Hustle to make me laugh.
I began in the technical events world in 2005. Previous to events, I worked in the restaurant industry for 10 + years holding various roles starting from dishwasher to MOD. In my time spent in the Technical Events world, I’ve had the opportunity to support various operating systems and different types of networking equipment. I feel that the experiences gained in my background in customer service has helped me be successful in supporting all the great new devices, and the interesting folks that use them.
I went to College in Seattle, WA where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. After school I remained in the Puget Sound area where I’ve been for about the last 15 years. From the beginning I’ve been interested in technology specifically computers, eventually becoming the family tech support person. After graduating college I spent a few years working in the office of a catering company learning a lot about catering and customer support. Then I went on to do a short stint in video game testing, which I admit was a blast, but very educational. Finally I ended up at F1 Consultancy.
During my time with F1 Consultancy I’ve been a general tech supporting our client’s at large and small corporate events. I’ve also acted as the lead tech at some of those events. Now I’ve moved on to our networking team learning as much as I can about Xirrus and other networking technologies.
When I’m not working I like to read, bake, and more recently scuba diving.
I was born and raised in Beautiful Honolulu, HI
Previous roles: Video game testing, which I admit was a blast!
I manage events of all sizes and in locations around the world. We constantly raise the bar on our customer service and technical expertise.
Working in a premier organization has given me ample opportunities to apply my ever evolving skills to grow and to contribute in the most effective manner. I’m able to continue my education, keep a finger on the pulse of the industry and apply new found knowledge to keep F1 competitive and still personable.
Outside of work, my husband and I love to seek out adrenaline filled adventure and discover new places to visit. We are new parents to a little boy and are excited to watch him grow and have him ride shotgun wherever we go. Both being from the Pacific North West, we thoroughly enjoy complex and beautiful topography and love storm watching.
In 2017 my family and I relocated to the Dallas, Texas F1 Consultancy location and have had fun exploring what this part of the country has to offer. So far our favorite part about Texas are the authentic street tacos, elote and the best steaks around!
I first joined F1 Consultancy in 2008 and quickly developed a keen interest in networking and infrastructure, which has led me to my current role. I’ve held a variety of different positions at F1 which has given me a great overview of how the company runs from the ground up. I recently spent a couple years outside of the events industry working as a networking SME for a management consultancy. This gave me a great insight into the infrastructure and complexities of a large scale international organization. I have since moved back into the world of networking for IT events, as it provides a great variety of work at a fast pace which I find very exciting. I also enjoy the opportunity to work with some of the most experienced and talented people in the industry along with building tools to help streamline and optimize the work that we do both on and off-site.
Outside of work I like to keep fit by running and playing hockey when I can. I also enjoy watching TV shows, any kind of sport and going on adventure holidays.
I graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and Social Sciences. In college I didn’t have a set career path to follow so I took a wide range of courses that appealed to my interests but would also allow me to have certain skill sets suitable in my day to day life, as well as in the job market. As part of my BA I minored in business administration, communication, and psychology. Anthropology was also an interest of mine.
In my free time I love to stay active through sports. I played basketball, baseball, soccer, and football growing up. Basketball was my passion, so once I reached high school I set my focus there and discontinued the other sports aside of recreational use. While in high school I actually played ball with Jonny. I am a huge Washington Huskies fan of both their football and basketball teams. I attend football games when I get the chance.
My family is a big part of my life. Our immediate family isn’t large, consisting of only my mother, father, and brother. Jeff is three and a half years younger than me and attended Washington State University. Unlike most siblings, we are very close. I consider him to be one of my best friends and he is the funniest person I know. We don’t get to see each other often but I make it a point to attending family gatherings such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and birthdays. When not occupied with work the majority of my free time is spent with friends.I make sure to coordinate dinners and other ways to catch up and connect.I do my best to stay in touch with friends from high school and college because they all were integral parts in my life and continue to be.
This is the first job I’ve held in the tech industry. Throughout high school and college I held multiple jobs in retail, primarily clothing. After college I worked at Chase for a little over a year as a bank teller. It was through a coworker that I found this job. It sounded like a great opportunity to work towards a career and challenge myself in a new field I had relatively no experience in. I currently work as a technical consultant for the company. Providing technical support has allowed me to learn new things that help me grow as a person and benefit the company. I am looking forward to seeing where this job takes me.
After working as a contractor for a big event in 2001 I was kindly offered a job and started full time at F1 in January 2002, working in the warehouse and helping to get kits ready for events. I then became a consultant, working on events large and small in various roles. Over the years I have taken various courses from Windows and Windows Server to Cisco ICND 1&2 and Xirrus training. I am now project managing my own events and have recently become the UK Events Lead for games console projects, something I’m very keen to get stuck into and embrace to the best of my ability. I enjoy taking on new challenges and very much looking forward to supporting these events and gaining some new skills in the process.
As I mentioned, I’m a big fan of live music. Whether it be a local band in a pub to a packed out stadium or muddy festival field, I’m always keen on going to whatever I can and finding new great bands. I’m currently in training for my first half marathon in September. (Not entirely sure how I got roped into that, but looking forward to the challenge and raising money for a charity close to my heart in the process!) I also enjoy being part of the weekly 5-a-side football match whenever we’re around to play. (Can’t say I’ve got much better over the years though, but always good to have a kick about!) In the evenings you’ll find me working my way through TV Series such as Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, and Boardwalk Empire, all brilliant shows and I highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t seen them!
I have been a Senior Consultant for F1 Consultancy for over two years and worked in the IT Event Support business for over six years. My primary consulting tasks involve WI-FI deployment and network administration support. I am also a Cisco Certified Networking Associate and certified in the Xirrus Partner Technician program.
I love to experience the different cultures and foods of lands far away. When at home in Seattle, I enjoy the Summer sun by taking road trips and hikes in the mountains. On rainy winter days you will most likely catch me drinking expensive coffee in the morning and local craft brews in the evening. (or studying up on the next tech certification) I feel honored and privileged to work with a great family that is F1 Consultancy and the extended family of Clients, partners and vendors, if I could say one thing it would be: “the people I work with, every day, are the best part about this job.”
I spend my free time playing my piano and guitar or reading. I am what you would call a Guitar Hero Freak – I can rock out on “expert” on 99% of the songs! I am also a Twitterholic, more than 16,000 tweets over the last 4 years, but I’m getting better!
Started life as a hardware engineer way back and done most things in IT since, mainly based around support both on site and telephone support . Had some time in sales and project management along the way as well. Worked with the F1 crowd on a contractual basis for a number of years and very happy to be with them full time.
I have spent the last 15 years working for BAA and latterly Capgemini in various parts of IT. Starting in Procurement I moved to 2nd Line support at Heathrow Airport and then on to Installs, Moves and Changes. This sometimes involved a lot of scrabbling around in parts of the airport which haven’t to been seen by human eyes since the 70′s! I then moved in to the IT Service Management area initially as a Service Manager Establishing and maintaining client and supplier engagements.
My most recent few years I have been involved with managing Service Improvement projects, this was challenging in a climate of limited resources and budget but success was made possible due to a combination of a good team and hard work.
In my role as Technical Project Manager I work closely with the production companies to ensure we have captured their requirements fully and also suggest where we would be able to provide ideal solutions. When a scope of work has been agreed I coordinate the necessary technical activity and logistics whilst maintaining close communication with those involved. Last minute changes are frequent and it is my role to make sure we have understood and adjusted appropriately in order for the event to run smoothly.
Since I was 16 I have worked in the Leisure industry with a main focus on Customer service and high standards. Over the years I took on many roles. I’ve always enjoyed building relationships with customers and club members, with many of the retired golfers getting away with the odd cheeky comment. At 21 I decided that Maybe University was actually for me and moved 4 hours away to the beach and an old mining town in Cornwall. While I never did learn to surf I learned how to Harvard reference and how to read a financial balance sheet (two things I’m hoping I can avoid for a while). I really enjoyed my first degree within Event Management and followed it with a BA in Business Enterprise. After what seems like a decade of education, I’m thrilled about my new role at F1. I’m extremely excited to get stuck in and get some real hands on experience away from the class room. I have done some work previously with F1 and I know I will enjoy being part of the team. I genuinely believe my previous customer service roles and university experiences have me on a good steading to become a valued member of staff.
I graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a degree in Information System Management. That led to my first IT job as a System Admin for a locally based manufacturing company. I enjoyed the work but wanted something with a little less routine and with a little more diversity. A move to Seattle, WA provided me with that opportunity.
I accepted a Tech position, providing set-up and support work for Microsoft trade shows. The congruence of mixing my technical foundation, strong client interaction skills plus being able to travel provided me with the job harmony I needed. One of my favorite memories was a show in Singapore where I was able to use my technical skills and was also able to converse with the client in their native dialect (Chinese).
As time went on, I began to specialize; working primarily with high-profile clients doing Exec Tier Events. That experience has helped me transition to more of a Project Management role – something that I look forward to learning and growing with now that I am part of the F1 family.
I was a Property Enclosure Engineer for 30 years. I Accepted position with F1 in April, 2011 working in the inventory department, I help to provide equipment and support for our teams all over the world.
I have been married for 22 years and involved with youth sports throughout my kids’ lives. Coach, manager, parent volunteer, board member, etc. Enjoy spending time in my yard taking care of my gardens or on the golf course TRYING to lower my score. Looking forward to many more years working with our great team here at F1 Consultancy. Oh Yeah, I Love my Job.
I have recently moved to the US from England. I have worked in different sales roles over the years as well as different industries. I have worked for F1 Consultancy as a contractor for 2 years and was delighted to be offered a permanent job with the company. I look forward to all of the new tasks ahead of me and see my future grow here with F1. In my spare time I love to play most sports and spend time with my family and attend my local church.
After graduating from the University of Gloucestershire with a Management degree, I pursued a career in primary school teaching. Although a great career, I wanted to seek out new challenges that more closely aligned with my academic experience. After a few years supporting individuals and small business with their IT and networking needs, I found F1 Consultancy.
I’ve been working with F1 since 2013 and have been a Technical Project Manager since the spring of 2016. I’ve been lucky enough to lead teams of technical consultants at some of the largest events in the world. I love working for F1 because we have an excellent staff culture that balances great fun, hard work and professionalism. I know that whatever the event and the challenges we face, we have the best individuals at hand to get the job done.
When I’m not working, you can find on the rugby field or spending time with my beautiful with and children.
Nothing excites me more than a blank canvas and a great idea. I’m a software developer who thrives when given the opportunity to create new products or reinvent existing products that will provide value for end users.
I excel in solving problems with a top-to-bottom approach and creating systems that improve productivity. Throughout my career, I have spearheaded time-saving, money-saving, and efficiency-creating improvements.
My experience includes programming for games, specialty software, and mobile applications, encompassing all phases of the software development lifecycle. I also have an IT background from experience I gained before becoming a full-time programmer.
I began my technology career at a young age. Growing up we always had a computer in the house and I quickly became the person to go to amongst my family and friends for help. In High School, I took classes like computer maintenance and cisco networking and enjoyed seeing how everything worked and connected at a higher level.
Currently, I’m working towards my Bachelor of Science with a focus on Cybersecurity at ITT Technical Institute.
I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. Growing up, I enjoyed working on cars, playing video games and actively enjoying the great outdoors the Pacific NW has to offer. I spent the first 13 years of my working career at Costco Wholesale, in various positions. My next journey took me to the internationally known car racing school where I was the Marketing Director, planning and executing large scale events. It was through that position that I came to know F1 Consultancy and the great staff they have working for them. After a few years of working with F1 at some of their events, the opportunity came for me to come on board full time.
In my free time I enjoy managing the small business my wife and I run together, participating in endurance rally events and playing with our 3 kids.
I joined F1 Consultancy in March 2012 after 10 years of working in the IT industry.
Having worked in both IT support and also internal IT I have had a very varied working history ranging from fixing printers to designing networks from the ground up.
Since joining F1 it has been really exciting to transition from the normal 9 to 5 hours of office life to event support and it’s been really exciting working with such a great group of talented and enthusiastic professionals. Having had years of experience working with networks, server technologies (Windows, SQL, Exchange etc.) and virtualisation you’ll usually find me on site on the network team. Having said that, one of the best things about this job is the variety, no event is the same so I may be in any given role, on any given event.
Outside of work, I enjoy watching all football and supporting my beloved Reading F.C. I also love Rugby and if there is a game of either sport on the T.V. you will find me glued to the set, sadly injury prevents me playing anymore. I play darts on a regular basis and also captain an Aunt Sally team (a strange game where you throw a stick at a small bit of wood from 30 feet away). I’m a huge live music fan and although travelling around the world tends to restrict the amount of free time I have I always try to go and see at least a couple of big gigs a year, as well as local bands at my local pub. I love films and T.V, especially the Simpsons (not just because of my surname or my other name) but love nothing more than spending my down time reading a good book and relaxing.
Back in 1993 I started working in radio, producing talk shows, working for the Miami Dolphins and University of Miami sports broadcasts. After a long and successful run in radio, I moved into television as a sound designer and audio engineer. Several TV stations and networks later, I was fortunate enough to be part of the Prime Time Emmy winning broadcast of Skywire, with Nick Walenda on Discovery Channel. I have won many Promax, Telly and regional Emmys as well. Now relocated to the Pacific North West, I am back to show production and enjoy being a part of the technical side of things with F1 Consultancy.
I Joined F1 Straight after I left school having completed my A-levels. My Job entails organizing and maintaining the warehouse and keeping track of stock. I also assist consultants with preparing kit for an event or helping with the breakdown of kit coming back from their events. I feel as if I have learnt so a lot already and look forward to learning more and progressing towards a more technical role.
I am very sporty and like to keep fit, I play cricket for my local team, and would like to start playing more basketball again. I support Reading fc which, as with following any team, can be difficult at times.
The ever-evolving landscape of technology and vast amount of support we provide means there is never a dull day at the office. Providing creative, efficient solutions to client requests is my favorite part of the job (along with getting to visit many different buffets).
I very much enjoy: Spending time with my family and friends, playing sports, listening to questionable pop music and all-you-can-eat buffets. Despite graduating with a degree in economics from the University of Washington, my interest in the IT field lead me to Technical Consulting here at F1 Consultancy.
Originally from: Mukilteo, Washington, a small suburb just north of Seattle
I’ve always believed: You can learn a lot about a person from reading their biography!
After spending most of my working life welding, I decided to pursue a more fulfilling career in the technology field. I had spent many years tearing apart and rebuilding computers, setting up home networks for my mother and sister, and setting up audio for friends. When I was introduced to the world of technical event support I was able to combine my love of technology with my love of travel and I haven’t looked back since. I am proud to provide excellent technical support for F1 Consultancy on Xbox events as well as other corporate events.
I am a kid at heart, and enjoy finding the humor in life. I have always been a hard worker and believe in getting the job done quickly and accurately. In my spare time you will find me spending time with my beautiful wife, Michele and our equally beautiful daughter Elsa, or finding myself enjoying time on a long drive. I currently have 2 RC cars that I tinker with and drive around the neighborhood. My wife says I have an uncanny knack for just looking at something and being able to fix it, and she has put that talent to use in fixing up our home and cars. Right now, I am working on rebuilding a 69 Volkswagen Beetle into my weekend warrior with my daughter.
With technology changing and advancing, I love the exciting opportunities attached with F1 Consultancy. I have a unique position to create unique relationships in the entertainment field in Seattle and continue to work with clients to develop in healthy atmosphere of inclusion balanced by competitive growth. With my eclectic background I’ve adapted in soft skills with my technical skills to working with clients to help their events achieve, and often surpass, what they need.
Hailing from the Pacific North West, I’ve been everything from a bartender, a coach, an actor, a self-proclaimed backyard BBQ master and even a college professor before finally settling in as a computer geek full-time. Recently married, my wife and I love to travel all over the world but are just fine enjoying watching a good sports game. Go Seahawks! Go Bruins!
I left my previous job with Remeha commercial where I spent the last seven years. I was working in the warehouse and moved up to logistics assistant. I came to F1 in October 2013 and have found it a great place to learn and work.
I’m a very musical person and during my free time I like to play my guitar and record new music. I still have some old projects that I like to work on every so often back from when I was in school. I started working at F1 in October 2015 as a Logistics Assistant and I believe I found a place where I can obtain new skills and have an interesting and fun career.
I got my start in this profession during high school while trying to pursue computer programming. Thanks to the amazing program I attended, I got some of the best hands-on experience in the business. After three years of working a show almost every month, I graduated and went into the next 7 years with Staging Techniques to learn a new craft of corporate theater. My time with them eventually led me now to work with F1 Consultancy. I am always eager to learn new skills and love to absorb what other people have to offer. I find it important to keep true to how one acts, being truthful at all times is a core value of mine. To do what you say and have your word carry weight, reflects one’s character.
Before beginning my career at F1 Consultancy, I worked in the health and fitness industry doing clinical personal training and athletic training. I graduated from Central Washington University in 2013 where I majored in Kinesiology and minored in Athletic Training while completing their EMT program.
I worked in the service industry and health care field for a couple years post graduation and in 2015 I chose to make a career change to IT and technical services. I began my career with F1 as a technical consultant and quickly fell in love with the events and service industry. The fast pace, ever changing and exciting atmosphere of the event and technical industry is unlike anything I have ever experienced. It combines all aspects that I enjoy about the industry and the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve in new and creative ways. To be able to have a career I enjoy and to be a part of the amazing hard working team at F1 each day is a true blessing.
Outside of work I still have a passion to stay active and challenge myself physically as well as mentally. You can usually find me playing basketball, tennis, golf or hiking. Life is too short to not do what you love.
I first became interested in networking specifically after doing some work in an IT department when I was only 14. Once I finished high school, I went into sixth form, college and then university with a focus on networking. In my free time I enjoy riding motorcycles, video games and listening to podcasts.
A native Texan, born and raised in Dallas, I have been in the sales and service field for the past decade. While sales and customer service roles has served me well, I have always wanted a career that pairs those areas with my love for technology. I feel I have found that with F1 Consultancy and look forward to this long and exciting journey.
When I am not working, I enjoy playing the drums, guitar, video games and spending time with my wife.
I started my career in the IT industry in 2008 by attending Lake Washington Technical College’s Computer Sciences and Network Technology courses. Between my schooling and now, I have worked in a call center solving wireless connectivity issues, worked at a ski resort as the night shift IT Support covering three base areas and finally I ran my own IT Consulting business. I have had the pleasure of working with F1 Consultancy as a temporary employee and I am excited to be apart of the team full time.
Before working at F1 Consultancy, I spent seven years in college changing majors a few times before finding computer science. After a couple of years of hard work I finally earned my degree, applied to F1 and never looked back!
In my spare time I love working on cars. In high school my dad and I restored a 1967 Mustang Convertible together. I will always have a passion for cars but technology and computers is my obsession. I figured cars made for a better hobby for me anyway rather than a career because I would never want to give the car back to its owner.
Much of my career has been customer service and sales based which has been very helpful in my role at F1 Consultancy. I am also a Navy Veteran, having served at shore based installations and on board aircraft carriers and a destroyer. I am currently enrolled in school to attain my A+, CCNA and CCENT certifications.
In May 2011, I joined F1 Consultancy because of it’s great commitment to employees and the chance to be part of a great group of people. I grew up on the Olympic peninsula (across the water West of Seattle, Washington, U.S.A.) in Bremerton, Port Orchard, and Silverdale. I attended Olympic High School which I graduated from in 1993 and was active in Boy Scouts, Order of the Arrow Native American Dancing, and Drama.
After High school, I spent 4 years in the Army as an Intelligence Analyst. After training in Missouri and Arizona, I spent a year in Uijongbu, Korea and another 2 years in Fort Hood, Texas. A valuable lesson was learned from the army, which is still use today, Improvisation. After the Army, I worked in Security at Harrisson Hospital in Bremerton for 8 months before accepting the role of a Technical Consultant, at a former company. For almost 13 years I was involved with tradeshows, conferences, road shows, and keynotes. I try to pick up some words and phrases from every country I go to. I am not fluent, but I find that you get treated better in most other countries if you try to speak their language, and it’s nice to be able to say Hi, thanks, etc. in their native language.
I have owned a 05 Harley Davidson V-Rod (VRSCB) since Feb 2010, and ride it to work almost every day. My brother and I took an 8-day 2800 mile trip down to Temecula, CA for the annual Black Sheep HDFC International Leadership Summit, and had a Blast! We have gone on many trips together including Sturgis, and have put 40,000 miles on the bike in the last 3 years. WooHoo!
I started as a Movie Projectionist, then Theater Stagehand, to Game Tester, went on to Computer Lab Repair Tech, and then onto where I am now, Senior Keynote lead.
My humble beginnings started in 2007 when I was given the opportunity to be the “man behind the curtains” taking care of the equipment needed to support the large Microsoft trade shows and keynotes. Coming from a theatre background and my well rounded technical skills I made and easy transition into the elite team of Tier 1 Keynote techs. Thanks to the unique business of event technical support I get to use my varied production and technical skills to bring first class service to our clients.
They always say find a career that pays you to do what you love, and I have.
I grew up building radios and tinkering with my family’s home computer which led me to be the “go to guy” for all of my friends and families technical needs. With every past job being in the event industry, I felt that joining the F1 Consultancy team would be a perfect fit with my technical and people skills.
I have spent my career doing a variety of jobs. I joined the Marine Corps out of high school and spent 4 years as a Finance Technician. While I was in the Marine Corps I was elected president of the Single Marine Program on my base and had the privilege of planning and scheduling moral building events for Single Marines and Sailors. I also was lucky to have the Government pay for my trips to Vegas and the Grand Canyon. The GI Bill helped pay for my programming degree. With the programming degree I got a job at the college in their IT Services department, tracking and deploying inventory. After College I decide to take a break from offices and got a job traveling around the country climbing cell towers. I am very excited to return to programming as I enjoy it very much. In my free time I enjoy our beautiful state, rock climbing, hiking and camping and white water rafting.
Born and raised in Ireland, I am a 15 year veteran of the event industry. I began as a freelancing AV Tech, traveling across Ireland and the UK supporting anything and everything. Over the years between show seasons, I have been contracted to various companies in need of IT support with a work experience that now includes theater, music rights, security, construction and auto motive.
Two years ago I moved to the US and had good fortune to find F1 Consultancy. After working contract for one year I was offered a chance to join this amazing team. I love the pace, the travel and working with the crew to deliver the best experience we can.
I graduated from Washington State University in the winter of 2013 with a degree in Management Information Systems. I have since bounced around a few technical jobs post-graduation and dabbled in a sales position, but decided to continue in a more IT role. I then worked in a tech support role for a local NAS company. I am excited to be a part of the F1 team!
With being in the IT industry for a number of years, I remember installing dos version 3.0 and parking hard drives! I initially started my IT career with a hardware background, working on IBM and Compaq resellers. I moved onto becoming more involved with IT deployment projects as well as various IT infrastructure support roles across EMEA. A have a passion for travelling and have been fortunate enough to have traveled to some amazing places and explore various countries. My travels have even led me to my lifelong ambition of hiking in the Himalayas and trekking to the Mount Everest base camp. I also like watching and playing sports, such as hockey and love live music. I can always be found attending festivals and music events throughout the year.
My professional experience is primarily in program management and project/event coordination, with complementary skills in research and media. I really enjoy helping teams succeed and grow, and creating a warm, collaborative environment. I am honored to learn from this amazing group of professionals at F1 Consultancy. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and attended the University of Washington, with degrees in English and History. My favorite aspect of the NW is the rugged coastal shores. I can’t get enough of the ocean!
I began my Technology career after High School, when I enlisted in the US Navy as an Electronics Technician working with SSBN Nuclear Submarines. It was an incredible experience that taught me to work hard, don’t give up, push myself beyond what I thought was possible and how to work as a team.
After the military I went to work for Microsoft as the Fleet Manager, taking care of the Mail Service, Shuttle and Facilities vehicles. I enjoyed the job, but it lacked the daily interaction I wanted with clients, the “human” element. So I said goodbye to my cubicle and took a position with the Goodyear Tire company that allowed me to blend the job elements that I enjoyed – mechanics, sales and customer service. Over time, the “Mechanical” portion of my role evolved from working on vehicles to computers. I transitioned out of the shop and into more of an IT position, supporting the company’s PC and network infrastructure. The new role was a great fit for me and I wanted to expand on the IT aspect of it but my options were limited, due to the nature of that business.
In 2005, I returned to Microsoft Campus, after accepting an IT position that provided “setup and support” of Microsoft Events which over the course of the last 5+ years, has proven to be the most challenging and rewarding job I’ve ever had. Now with my transition to the F1 family, I am looking forward to continuing this tradition and anticipate an even more rewarding career as well as a higher standard level of customer satisfaction for our clients.
“Strive for perfection and you will obtain excellence”
“It is not enough to simply meet our customer’s expectations, but to exceed them”
“Take care of your clients, otherwise somebody else will”
I’ve been working in the IT industry for almost nine years now working with Education and business clients utilizing Microsoft server / desktop OS, VMWare and Citrix products. My work has involved installing and supporting solutions for users with learning difficulties and disability’s such as sight loss.
I’ve been interested in technology and computers ever since my first computer in the early 90’s. Since then I’ve been drawn to the tech world. I’ve worked in the events industry for the past three years as a freelance contractor with a few different companies before coming to work for F1 full time. In my free time, I enjoy spending time out on the Hood Canal, backpacking and spending time in my garden.
I was born and raised in Washington State. I attended the University of Washington and graduated with a business degree from the Foster program in 2013. During my time at UW, I worked in Seattle’s busy Pike Place Farmer’s Market. The people and businesses there really showcase our unique Northwest lifestyle.
I first worked for F1 in October of 2013 and really enjoyed the energy, passion and high standards they held for themselves and the events they supported. IT has always interested me and this opportunity seemed like the perfect way to foster those interests.
I come to F1 with a huge passion for the technology world and with a solid background in customer service. Before my time in the event business, I worked at T-Mobile’s corporate offices in Bellevue, WA. I spent 2 years in the Supply Chain branch, specifically in reverse logistics and internal phone orders. In that time I helped streamline processes and practices in my department, such as transitioning to Sharepoint and teaching new methods in using SAP. My customer service experience is split between food service, technology retail, and banking.
After spending time between a few different roles while at F1, I have found my place in the Executive-Tier/Keynote program. This new role can be at times challenging, but ultimately rewarding. I have spent most of this year leading the F1 area of Keynotes. Leading has been a great learning opportunity for me. It has also allowed me to focus on better practices for myself and my peers. I am looking forward to passing my knowledge on to the future Executive-Tier/Keynote techs.
When I am actually home, you can find me playing on the Xbox or working on a new DJ set. A big movie/TV/comic book buff, I’m always keeping up on the next big thing in media. I enjoy lifting heavy things at the gym between events. Lately I have been spending a lot of time around town taking pictures of places and people and learning more about photography.
I graduated from the University of Montana with a bachelors in History. Before coming to work for F1, I was a landscaper for 6 years which grew my love for working in the rain. If I’m not working I am always doing things outside. I love skiing, fly fishing, hiking and mountain biking. If it’s outside, you name it, I’m there. I’m also a big fan of reading in the sun in a comfy chair.
As Senior Technical Consultant my duties vary from event to event. Coming into the events industry at the age of 21 and eager to learn, I have learned what it takes to pull together a successful event. From pre-event to Lead Roles, Hands on Labs, Breakouts, and onsite support these are a few of the things that are required of me from event to event.
Outside of work you can catch me either in the gym or on a public basketball court with the youngest brother teaching and playing the game both of us enjoy playing.
My interest in information technology started in college when I began doing computer repair as a hobby and eventually as a side business. I found that I had a passion for understanding how things work and for learning about new technologies. I also enjoyed troubleshooting and helping people solve complex problems. This led me to pursuing a career in IT. Eventually my side business grew into full-time IT and web support services for small businesses. Along the way I was referred to F1 and now I am happy to be working full-time with the F1 team!
In my free time I like getting outside to go hiking, camping, and snowboarding. When I’m at home I enjoy gaming, music and web development/design. I love living in the Pacific Northwest, and I really enjoy traveling as well.
I started my education in the technology field at Everett Community and transferred to Central Washington University where I majored in IT and Administrative Management. While going through school, I’ve had several different tech jobs gaining different skills everywhere I went. My most recent job, before moving onto F1 Consultancy was a contractor for Dell where we supported all computing for the Boeing Enterprise. It was through one of my instructors at Everett Community where I heard about F1 Consultancy.
Though I was born in Boise, Idaho, my family moved to Washington from Palm Springs, California. My father got a job working for Boeing before I was born, and we migrated to the Evergreen State. I joined the world along the way, in Boise. I consider Washington my home state. Living here for the last 29 years has been a dream, 12 of them with my high school sweetheart and wife, Ashley. Growing up, my mother was pursuing nursing, so she rarely had time to make elaborate dinners for the family. This early on sparked a curiosity in me to pursue Culinary arts as my first career. I went to college, got my degree, and cooked professionally for nearly 12 years. I led a team of cooks, handled requisitions, menu design, and QA. In recent years I have been finishing up college for IT Support/Networking. So far, I am loving this line of work and all the people and places I have gotten to visit. It is never too late to start on your dreams.
I’ve lived in Washington my entire life and graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Mathematics. I heard about F1 Consultancy from my brother and I started as a temp shortly after. With a few shows under my belt, I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to start full time and I gladly accepted.
I have worked as an Import Assistant, importing Polaroid components from the USA to Brazil. I had opened my own successful video rental business in Brazil for a few years. In addition, I worked as a Sales Negotiator for my own property development project, for an estate agency.
