The Works
The Works was created to better facilitate the needs of F1 Consultancy than any off-the-shelf software could accomplish.
The Works is a suite of custom built web applications that facilitate day to day operations at F1 Consultancy. These applications range from inventory management, employee scheduling, time and expense reporting, and all other aspects of project management. All these applications are modular allowing The Works to fit the customer’s needs.

The Project Management module is an essential component in The Works. Maintaining multiple estimates and invoices has never been easier. Project managers have a clear view of where they are on their project in respect to their budget.

The resource scheduler lets you create multiple calendars for tracking the use of many different resources such as a company van, training room or even specialized equipment. With the Resource Scheduler module, it’s easy to see what’s allocated and when.

The Scheduling module gives your company a clear insight into where everyone is and who is available. Planning for future staffing levels is simple with the timeline view. Project managers can easily see who’s available and who’s not. Employees receive instant notifications when they are booked to a project allowing them to easily prepare for the next project.

The Ticket Tracker module helps ensure that the technical support team in your expos are assisting your partners in a timely and efficient manner. A central help desk takes in trouble tickets from the partners and distributes them to the technical support team on the floor. As soon as the technicians are alerted that there is a new ticket they can head directly to the location of the issue. This eliminates wasteful time of walking back to the help desk as well as keeps a detailed record of the incident, status and remedy.

Knowing the location of your assets is essential to any business. With the Inventory Module we can track equipment to a specific location, project or even person. Project managers can easily see what equipment is on their project and with a comprehensive and tamperproof history there is no question where equipment ever was. If equipment is damaged or needs further troubleshooting technicians can add a note, so it is properly handled when it returns.

Wireless throughput is very important to any event, because of this we needed a way to identify congestion trends. Technicians periodically perform speed tests throughout the venue using the mobile web app and send that data back to the Wireless Speed Test module. This data is then monitored for possible network congestion so support a chance to examine and fix possible problem areas before the attendees’ notice.

The Event IP Checkout module is an excellent way to keep track of your static IP’s onsite. With a centralized database, allocating a static IP for a device is simple. Just choose a network and input the device type and location and the system gives you the next available static IP.

Expenses tend to be the least favorite task for any employee. The main goal of the Expense Module was to make it easy for employees to submit even the most complicated expenses. International exchange rates fluctuate daily, so this is calculated from reliable sources daily. Receipts are stored in the cloud easily and securely. Mobile web support allows expense submission and approval happen anywhere at any time.
